Raise your hand if you had a blast playing Nippon Ichi's Cladun: This is an RPG at some point after the quirky dungeon-crawler earned a worldwide release (for the PSP) back in 2010.
Now raise your other hand if you also enjoyed that game's sequel, Cladun x2, which first saw the light of day in 2011.
To those of you who now have both arms raised: I'm not quite sure how you're going to read the rest of this post (or start the video below), but I'm sure you'll concoct some sort of solution.
To the rest of you: watch and listen to the snippet above--yes, even those of you who have yet to even think of raising a hand--which the folks at NIS helpfully and straightforwardly named, "Title Teaser BGM."
In other words, the musical numbers featured in this teaser probably are from an upcoming Nippon Ichi game.
Given the chiptune-y sound of the tracks and the character sprite revealed at the video's tail end, I have a feeling the title's related to the company's Cladun series in some way. What do you think?

This new teaser video for Rhythm Tengoku: The Best Plus (3DS) is nice and all, Nintendo, but where the hell is 'The Bon Odori'?!?
Seriously, this latest trailer for the game, which is due out on June 11 in Japan, looks utterly fabulous to these eyes--except for the fact that my all-time favorite Rhythm Tengoku mini-game, "The Bon Odori," is nowhere to be seen in it.
The good news (for weirdos like me, at least) is that, along with 30 new ones, The Best Plus will feature 70 "old" mini-games (ones that appeared in previous Rhythm Tengoku titles), so at least there's a chance that my personal fave will be in there, right?

Screw the haters, I'm excited for both Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth (3DS) and Persona 4: Dancing All Night (Vita)
Would you believe that I completely forgot that the folks at Atlus were supposed to make an announcement related to the Persona series yesterday until I woke up, checked NeoGAF and saw the news that Persona 5 will be released for the PS3 sometime next winter?
Granted, that the company's main announcement would revolve around both Persona 5 and the PS3 enter "foregone conclusion" territory long ago, so that may have had something to do with it.
Anyway, note the placement of the word "main" before "announcement" in the sentence above. I worded things that way because, as you've probably already heard, before Atlus revealed Persona 5, it revealed two other Persona-related spin-off titles (in addition to finally sharing a summer release date for the PS3 release of Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold, aka the sequel to 2012's Persona 4 Arena.)
One of those spin-off titles will be Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, an Etrian Odyssey-esque RPG starring chibi-fied characters pulled from Persona 3 and 4. Here's a teaser trailer for the game, which will hit Japanese store shelves (both actual and virtual) in June:
As surprising--and strange--as Persona Q's reveal was for most of the Interwebs, the following reveal was even more so.
Yes, the trailer above really is for a Persona-based rhythm game, called Persona 4: Dancing All Night, that's being made by the same folks (Dingo) who brought the world the Hatsune Miku PSP titles.
Oh, and it'll be released for the Vita--again, in Japan--next autumn.
I don't know about you, but I'll certainly be picking up some version of Persona Q next year. Should I add a Vita to my collection in 2014, I'll likely also buy a copy of Dancing All Night, as it looks and sounds far too wacky and wonderful to pass up if given the chance.
Are any of you planning to purchase any of the games mentioned throughout this post? If so, which ones--and why?

You've got my attention, Sony Japan Studio--now show me some gameplay
Earlier this month, the folks at Sony Japan Studio revealed that they're working on a new title: Panopticon.
A two-and-a-half-minute teaser trailer for the game was released this morning and can be seen below.
What kind of game is it, and which system is it being made for? I have no idea, sadly--although it seems that information may be shared (likely on the game's official site) on May 21.
Until then, all we have are guesses and speculation. Personally, I have a feeling Panopticon is yet another Monster Hunter clone and, as such, will grace the still-struggling Vita, but I hope I'm wrong.
(I'm OK with it potentially being a Vita game, by the way. The portion of the prognostication above that concerns me is the part about it possibly being a Monster Hunter clone. I'd much rather it be an RPG or even a straight-up action title.)
What do all of you think of the teaser above? Did it catch your attention, too, or put you to sleep?

Although I've yet to buy or play Corpse Party: Book of Shadows ...
... I can't help but find myself attracted to the recently announced Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient.
In part, that's because Dead Patient seemingly will return the series to the gameplay found in the eponymous PSP release. Also, as far as I'm aware, this sequel will be the first to be made by Team GrisGris (now known as Grindhouse), the folks responsible for the first Corpse Party.
Here are a pair of teaser trailers for Dead Patient, in case any of you are similarly curious about it:
Word on the street is that Dead Patient will receive at least a PC release, although some suggest it'll be ported to the Vita as well.
Personally, I'd love for it to come to the 3DS, too, but I have a feeling that's about as likely as Sega's wackadoodle golf-meets-pinball title, @field, making a similar platform leap at this point.

Just in case anyone cares: Here's a teaser trailer for Rhythm Heaven Fever
I know most of you aren't all that interested in the North American release of Rhythm Heaven Fever, but those of you who are interested in it should get a kick out of the following teaser trailer, which I believe is the first to shine a light on the game's English translation.
As much I like it, I wish it included clips of a few more mini-games (especially those featuring vocals). Of course, maybe the marketing wizards at Nintendo of America are saving them for a second, even wackier teaser trailer? After all, the game isn't due to hit store shelves until Feb. 13. (Pre-order a copy of it here.)

Beyond the Labyrinth's battle scenes are as beautiful as its box art
The latest trailer for Beyond the Labyrinth, the 3DS RPG being developed by tri-Ace and published (on Jan. 19 in Japan) by Konami, is a real looker.
Unfortunately, I'm a bit confused about what's going on in the video below. I mean, it's obviously showing off the game's glorious (in my opinion) battle scenes, but we still don't know how those battles "work" or why the white-haired girl is standing in the player's way throughout most of them.
Still, this teaser is the one that put me over the edge for Beyond the Labyrinth. Earlier ones were enough to pique my interest in the title to the point that I thought, "Eh, it'd be nice if someone brought it to North America," but this one has me thinking, "If this game isn't released here next year I'm going to pluck out my eyelashes and eat them for lunch."

Any game that 'looks like someone tried to port Gunstar Heroes to the Atari 2600' sounds like a winner to me
I can't take credit for the quote that appears in the headline above, by the way. That honor belongs to NeoGAF user Fine Ham Abounds.
Anyway, I so completely agreed with what Fine Ham Abounds had to say about an upcoming, tantalizing-looking game that I couldn't help but quote him in this post's header.
As for the game he compares to a 2600 port of the Treasure classic known as Gunstar Heroes: It's called Super T.I.M.E. Force and it will be released at some as-yet-unknown date and on some as-yet-unknown platform (or, more likely, platforms) courtesy of the folks at Capybara Games.
I know, the lack of info in regards to the game's release date and platform(s) of choice stinks, but it stinks a lot less (or more, if you're a 'glass half empty' kind of guy/gal) after you watch the following teaser:
Super T.I.M.E Force - First Peek from Capy! on Vimeo.
I'm not at all sure what's going on in the trailer above, to tell you the truth, but I like what I see all the same--especially the part where the little soldier dudes and dudettes leap from missile to missile.
Anyway, here's hoping the Capybara crew loosen their lips soon and let all of us slobbering fools know when and where we can expect to play what looks to be a fabulously frantic title.
Oh, and one last thing: If you're looking for a good chuckle, check out Capybara's official description of the game here.
