They certainly were filled with a smidge of intrigue, as it was revealed that Barold, Rodney and Snake all are gay.
OK, so maybe that's a stretch, but the conversations above at least suggest they could be gay.
Hamlet isn't gay--or at least I don't think he is--but he is a bit fidgety, as evidenced by his recent urge to leave the, er, hamlet of Animachi for greener pastures.
Being the meanies they are, Aino and Bryan didn't try to stop him, even though they like him quite a bit. Unfortunately, he's one of two hamsters in Animachi, and one of two jock villagers, and Aino and Bryan prefer Rodney and Snake when it comes to hamsters and jocks, respectively, so ... Hamlet had to go.
Only he didn't. Move out, I mean. The day before he was about to do so, Aino checked in on him and when she did she was informed that he would be sticking around for a while longer. (Yeah, right; she's heard that before.)
Which would've been all well and good, but around that same time Filbert wandered into town to make use of its campground. With Hamlet staying put, the adorable blue squirrel wasn't able to fill his spot as Animachi's tenth villager.
Aino got over her disappointment rather quickly thanks to the professionally shot photo Ankha gave her after she completed some gargantuan task (like catching and handing over a coelacanth).
Not only that, but Ankha had personalized her photo with a bit of info about herself--including her favorite saying.
Appropriately gloomy, don't you think?
Far less gloomy was Gracie's first appearance in Animachi. OK, so she was as stuck up as always, but what else should one expect from a run-in with Gracie?
One thing neither Aino nor Bryan expected from Gracie's visit was to be forced into participating in something called "Gracie's Fashion Check."
Thankfully, Gracie's level of taste isn't an astronomical as it first seemed, as she "passed" Bryan with the following "sporty" get-up.
In other exciting news (or at least Aino and Bryan found it exciting), Aino completed the Animachi Museum's dinosaur collection after she dug up and handed over to Blathers a Parasaur torso.
Speaking of torsos, Bryan recently made another trip to Dunwich (again of The Dunwich Hoarder fame), and when he did so he encountered the following in front of Mayor Terry's home:
He found additional torsos (and more) inside the above-mentioned house.
Something else may have transpired in that room at a later time, but Bryan was sworn to secrecy. Shhhhhh!

Handing over a coelacanth would require catching one--a feat I haven't been able to achieve. But I did pass Gracie's fashion check. I was beginning to wonder if she'd EVER show up.
You snuck into my bedroom dressed as a bear, which heightens the intrigue. lol
Hey there, Justin! Actually, I was just using the coelacanth as an example--I know that's not what I handed over (although I have caught one or two). I think it was some other kind of ocean fish?
I've only had Gracie show up once so far, by the way, which is weird considering I've had the TIY for a while now. I want my next (final) store upgrade dammit!
YES! :P
If you'd like to do me a favor, I still need the bear costume headpiece. If you could order one from Nook and mail it to me from the Dunwich post office, I'll find a way to make it up to you. I want to be a bear, too. lol
Okie dokie! I'll order one this afternoon and then bring it to you in the next few days, if you'll be around. No need to make it up to me, though--or at least I can't think of anything I'm dying to have at the moment...
Hey, Bryan! Let me know when you've opened the gate to your town!
Hi Bryan!
I love your ACNL stories! So sweet and funny! :D I recently restarted my town (and by recently, I mean today >_>) and your series is a nice little bit of inspiration! Looking forward to the next installment! :3
Just wanted to say I'm glad we were able to make this happen, Kevin! Sorry I wasn't a better host, though :( I never know what to do when people visit, so I mainly just try to stay out of their hair. Anyway, if you'd like to visit again, let me know. And I'd definitely like to visit your town sometime, if you're willing!
Aw, thanks, Sarah! I'll definitely be keeping these up for a while, as we still have fall and winter to encounter, right? Plus, I'm still perfecting Aino's and Bryan's homes, as well as the town at large.
If you ever need anything, BTW, feel free to ask in the comments sections of these posts. I wouldn't mind at all bringing things to you, if needed!
Oh, no problem! I had an awesome time poking around and grabbing coffee! :D I'll be sure to let you know when I open my gate. I'm available the entire holiday weekend!
Wow! That's so kind and generous of you! That would be wonderful! I guess I'd just like fruit and I could pay too :) is there a way I can privately send you my FC? :D
Also, very happy to hear that the series will continue! Super excited to see the adventures in Fall/Winter/Spring! :3
Thanks, Kevin! Also, I'll be playing a lot this weekend myself, so I'll be on the lookout for your open gate :)
Hello again :) Feel free to send me your FC via e-mail -- my address is bochalla (at) yahoo (dot) com.
