It will be a series, I've got one comic finished and queued and a handful of others sketched out. Glad you like it! It's fun to take the already ridiculous personalities in the game and run with them.
You're welcome, Jeremy! I hope it's OK that I posted the entire thing here. I wasn't sure I should do that, but I ended up going with it and then just including a number of mentions of and links to your blog. Anyway, if it isn't OK, let me know and I'll edit the post so that only one or two panels show.
Other than that, I'm VERY glad to hear you're making more. Not only are they funny, but they're drawn SO WELL. I'm completely blown away by your talent.
Aw shucks, I appreciate it. I'm still working out a style that I like for them but I think the look of this one is close. And I don't mind that you posted it here! I'll be putting a short one up on Tuesday.
Sometimes when I see a bug in real life now I think "I wonder how many bells I would get if I sell it to a pink alpaca that stands on two legs and can talk".

Oh, I definitely like the look of this one, Jeremy. That said, I liked the look of the last one, too--and pretty much everything else you've ever drawn :)

Ha! I love it, Sam. I don't think that way myself, but I do "ooooh" and "ahhhh" more at insects, butterflies, etc., now than I would have before encountering New Leaf, I think. Anyway, thanks for the comment as always!
