Paul Veer's contribution, above, is my favorite so far. |
The latter is supposed to ship around the time of the former's North American release (June 9), by the way, and can be pre-ordered--for just $12 per copy--right now at animalcrosszine. bigcartel.com. (If you'd like to know a bit more about this black-and-white fanzine before handing over your hard-earned dough, check out its official tumblr at animalcrosszine.tumblr.com.
In other New Leaf-related news, Nintendo of Europe recently published on its website an English version of an Iwata Asks Q&A about this 3DS title that originally appeared on its Japanese parent company's site back in October. Read it in all its giggly glory here.

Really can't wait for this game. I still have a feeling they held off on our release so long because they wanted people to start when it was nice and green and not int he winter or something.
I'm looking forward to it, too, Robert! And you may be right about the reason for the game's delay in the west. That said, I'm sure it isn't the easiest game to localize, as there's a LOT of text in the game (from what I've seen). Regardless of the reason for the holdup, though, I'm going to play the hell out of it once it's finally released :)
I like that Mr. Resetti has been made optional, but that there are items you can't get unless he's in the game. I'll certainly have him in mine -- my only run-ins have been accidental -- but I can see why some people dislike his presence.
I should be finished with Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon by then, ha-ha.
Oh, yes, I almost forgot about this aspect of the game, Zaphod. Don't you have to buy/build his office/building, though? Anyway, I'm not sure what I'll do in that regard once I get my hands on the game.
As for Luigi's Mansion: does your comment mean you're enjoying it so far? I've yet to even open my copy yet :|
Sorry to jump in... You can build a little manhole that serves as his "office"! (as far as I know you never get to go in, but maybe there's some kind event where you do...) I actually only ever forgot to save once, and it was after I built him his office, and he was very polite ("Oh, you forgot to save? Well don't forget next time!") haha. I was pretty surprised, as I didn't know he doesn't scream at you this time around!
Yeah, you have to build his place in New Leaf, and I intend to do so because I'm not a reset/time-travel kind of player.
And Luigi's Mansion is better than expected, to the point where I've barely touched Monster Hunter this week. It also has some of the best 3D I've seen on the machine. I normally play with 3D effect turned off, but I keep it cranked up to full on this one. It's dripping with humor and charm.
Thanks for sharing that info, Anne! BTW, does he still show up even if you don't build him a manhole/office?
Oh, that's great to hear, Zaphod! I love how this game looks even in 2D photos, so I can only imagine how great it looks in full-on 3D.
I just did some reading up (in my handy guide), and it says you can only build the reset center after resetting once yourself. So I guess that means I did and I don't remember? Haha. Either way, he doesn't seem to get very mad this time. It seems at you can also get into the reset center but I haven't done that myself yet. What I didn't know is it already appeared once before in City Folk, actually! http://nookipedia.com/wiki/Resetti_Surveillance_Center
Interesting! Thanks, Anne :) Also, why don't I remember the Reset Center in City Folk? Granted, it's been AGES since I played that game...
Man...we're getting REALLY close to this launch date, aren't we? Oh boy. There goes my life.
Yep, less than two months now. Ahhh! Oh, and my life is going right down the tube along with yours :)
