What did Anne (@apricotsushi on twitter), shidoshi (@pikoeri) and I chat about this time?
Well, we began by shooting the spit about the recent Tokyo Game Show (which shidoshi attended in person, the lucky devil) and the heap of niche-y games--3DS and Vita ones, especially--that were announced during the multi-day event.
We also discussed the just-announced Animal Crossing-themed 3DS LL (it'll hit the streets of Japan on Nov. 8) and the just-released (on Sept. 27) "PINK x WHITE" 3DS LL that I wrote about earlier today.
Oh, and we touched on Bayonetta 2, Dead or Alive 5, THE "DENPA" MEN, HarmoKnight, Tokyo Jungle, and a few other games I can't mention here because they were part of the do-you-know-this-game segment of the podcast that's called "The Nichiest of Them All," too.

Melody: You know, I don't think you and I are alone in wanting the Animal Crossing-themed 3DS LL. Hopefully NOJ will make loads of them! And, of course, I hope Nintendo's American and European arms will release them in their respective territories, too -- although I'm not going to bet on it :|

Yes, you're very likely right, Melody. Honestly, I have no idea why Nintendo refuses to release such Limited Edition systems outside of Japan. Surely they'd sell all they could produce/ship?

I'm pretty sure Nintendo is rich enough to produce more of these editions but they wouldnt be so "special" anymore if you could buy them everywhere right?
I mean it would be smarter to produce more of them because ppl like us who already have a 3DS but would buy ALSO a 3DS LL to get those cute editions would bring them some more money because of that.
I would never buy a 3DS LL if it's not such a cute edition.

Well, yes, I agree that I wouldn't want to produce too many of any of these "special edition" XL/LL systems for any one region, but it would be nice if they'd produce at least a *few* for us non-Japanese gamers. Like you said, it's lost money. Sadly, I don't think Nintendo of Europe, Nintendo of America, etc., are going to change course any time soon :(

Thanks, Justin! I hate to say that this one is likely to be a bit longer than the last, so hopefully that won't annoy too many people. Also, hopefully we'll be able to rope things in a bit during the next one, which should be recorded around this time next month...
Oh, I don't mind the length (that's what he said...) because I listen in little segments every day.
Ha! I love that you included the "that's what he said" in there :)
Also, I'm glad the length doesn't bug you too much. Still, I think keeping them to an hour to an hour-and-a-half would be best!
