According to the folks at Siliconera, the name above will be attached to the Wii-based Kirby game when it's released in North America this autumn. A nice nod to the puffy pink character's first adventure, don't you think?
Now all we need is for Nintendo of America to announce a release date for this game--as well as one for Rhythm Heaven Wii (which I'm guessing will undergo a similar name change sooner rather than later), of course.
Speaking of Kirby Returns to Dreamland and Rhythm Heaven Wii: If both games do, in fact, make it to North American shores before 2012 dawns, my Wii is going to get an honest-to-goodness workout during the last quarter of the year--especially since The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is also expected to hit store shelves before the holidays.

Oooh, I'm salivating over all these Wii releases! #1 Christmas/birthday wish: get a Wii!
ReplyDeleteYou don't have a Wii, Anne? Well, you most definitely have to get one for your b-day or Christmas, then. I know it gets a lot of hate from certain circles, but I love my Wii. In fact, I've bought more games for my Wii than I have for any system since the PS1 (I think...). Anyway, can't wait until you get one!
ReplyDeleteI've only rekindled my interest in Kirby va listening to the soundtracks whilst studying, recently. Truth be told I always found Kirby games too difficult near the end, but I guess I'm more mature now and should try again with the new ones, at least :T
ReplyDeleteI'm WAY excited for the holiday season this year. I'm probably buying Skyward Sword for myself the day it comes out, but the 3DS releases and the other Wii releases are going on my list. Heck yes. I love feeling like a ten years old boy.
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting, SUIKA -- that you've been listening to Kirby soundtracks. Which ones? You know which one I'd really like to listen to? The soundtrack for Kirby's Epic Yarn :)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, you really have to play that game if you haven't already. You should really appreciate it considering you're an artist.
This holiday season is going to be packed full of goodness, isn't it, Justin? Personally, I'm going to buy (or ask for) Xenoblade (UK), Kirby, Rhythm Heaven and Zelda. I'm actually insanely excited about Zelda -- it looks *great*!
ReplyDeleteWhich 3DS releases are you looking forward to, BTW? Just Mario Kart and Mario 3DS or are there others? I'm definitely going to have to pick up Mario 3DS and Luigi's Mansion 2 when I finally get a 3DS...
Yeah still 'aint tried Epic Yarn. Augh. Anyways, mostly the SNES ones. But, it's just because most Kirby music is so damn fast and catchy. Like, if you're familiar with the first stage music from Crystal Shards. Try humming the whole song. Like, every note. It's exhausting.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think I'm gonna buy Kid Icarus, Uprising...or...ask for it from Robb. But he REALLY wants it, so...it's more for him than for me.
ReplyDeleteOh, you've GOT to try Epic Yarn at some point, SUIKA. It's not a traditional Kirby game in terms of gameplay, but it's wonderful all the same, IMO. And the music is great!
ReplyDeleteAs for Crystal Shards: I'd try humming the tune ... if I'd played the game :( Honestly, I have very little experience with the Kirby games. I've played the NES one and Epic Yarn and that's about it! I really have to give the others a go at some point.
Is Crystal Shards your favorite?
Ah, yes, Uprising! I'm really curious to see how that one turns out, Justin. I really like how it looks, but I'm not sure yet what I think about how it plays. I'm not even sure I understand yet how it plays! Anyway, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna be disappointed. I'm sure of that.
ReplyDeleteWhy is that, Justin? Because it's straying so much from the original, or something else?
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I wish they had made a proper 2D sequel back in the SNES days. Or maybe even on the DS. Sigh.
Nah Dreamland 3 is my favorite seeming as it looks like everything was drawn with crayons.
ReplyDeleteAh, I think I've played that one a bit -- and really liked it! I especially liked the art style :) More games need to be made using such an art style, IMO.
