Honestly, I think it's the most attractive piece of portable hardware the company has ever created. The original GameBoy's only competitors, in my opinion: The DSlite
and the DSi
.I'm guessing artist Laura Kelly is of a similar opinion, as the following collage--titled "Game On"--is the only one in her rather extensive portfolio that was inspired by a game system.

Me, too, Justin. I really wish I hadn't sold mine (and a slew of games) years ago. The worst part of it -- I got nearly nothing for it/them :(

Thanks for the comment, GameNinjaX! It does bring back a lot of memories, doesn't it? Most of my memories of the OG GamBoy include playing Tetris, Tennis and Super Mario Land. I still remember when my best friends brought one home. They were the first kids in the neighborhood to get one. We spent the entire rest of the day playing it -- and didn't mind one bit that it had a green screen. Ah, those were the days :)

Yikes! It is hard to believe this sweet little system is more than 15 years old. Maybe I'll celebrate its 20th birthday by buying one again :)
