May 4 was a rather momentous day for me and this blog. How so? Well, as the headline above suggests, it's when I received my first free game as a blogger.
Granted, the game in question--Justin Southey's The Most Addicting Sheep Game--would have set me back just a buck if I'd actually bought it, but that's beside the point.
What isn't beside the point is that I've already had a lot of fun playing this rhythmic Xbox Live Indie Games release, which requires players to "run, jump and roll to the beat."
I have a feeling the last few levels shown in the video above are going to trip me up terribly, but I also have a feeling they're going to cause me to laugh uncontrollably.
Can you ask anything more of a game that costs a buck?

That looks like Bit.trip Runner, which is high praise! I think I might just have to get that.
Sad. I guess I missed the part where you said it was a Xbox Live Arcade game. Well...maybe it'll make it the the Mac app store eventually.
Yeah, sorry about that, Justin :( You'd love the game, I'm sure. I'll check in with the Justin who made the game and see if it's going to come out on other platforms...
It does look addicting. It's so simple but I didn't want the video to end. Does anything interesting happen if you miss a platform?
Hey there, Tavia! Basically, you fall from the sky and have to start over if you miss a platform. So far that has been a funny, rather than a frustrating, experience, thankfully :)
Heya. It's the Justin who made the game here. SO loving the attention. *GRIN* Big thanks to Bryan! Other Justin, I'm working on an iPhone port at the moment, so watch these spaces... but being a little inexperienced in the Apple department, it might be a little while coming. But come it will!
Hey there, Justin! You're very welcome, sir. I'll try to give you and your game some more attention next week when I publish a little review of The Most Addicting Sheep Game :)
As for an iPhone port of the game -- I think that's a great idea! I'm guessing it would be compatible with iPads, too?
Sweet. Thanks, Justin-who-made-the-game! I'll keep an eye out for it.
Woot woot! And I'll keep you posted.
I'm entirely new to the Apple thang, but from the little research I've done, TMASG will be completely compatible on the iPad as well. Yay Apple! (The Mac might be a little more tricky given the different input method - but I've got a fully working PC version which could possibly be ported later on. Day job permitting. *grin*)
PS. Bryan, I don't suppose you've given the game a whirl with a guitar controller? :)
Hey there, Justin-who-made-the-game! Hey, if you can get PC and Mac versions of the game working properly, I say release them! More opportunity for sales, right?
As for playing the game with a guitar controller -- I haven't! Of course, I'm one of the few gamers in the US without a guitar controller :( Maybe someday!
