Aaron Keuter--an Atlanta-based motion graphics designer, animator, editor, compositer and director--recently created the following music video, set to Crystal Castles' "Xxzxcuzx Me," using some of artist Ashely Anderson's symmetrical drawings.

It sure is trippy, isn't it? Hopefully it didn't cause any of you to have an epileptic seizure. Anyway, to see more of Anderson's work, check out his Flickr photostream. Conversely, go here to see more of Keuter's work.
Suitably disturbing for Crystal Castles. I swear I saw Negative Man from MOTHER 3 in there somewhere, among other obscurities.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, it's definitely "interesting." Also, it's likely you DID see something from Mother in there -- Anderson loves games and includes pieces of them, or references to them, in lots of his pieces. I swear I saw a firebar (from Super Mario Bros.) in there, for instance.
ReplyDeleteYikes. I saw the firebar, but I missed the Mother 3 character...dang it. That was...intense. I feel like I just had an argument with a friend. That's super odd to me.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to watch the video with the sound turned off to fully appreciate it. Even then, it'll probably still seem a bit chaotic/epileptic.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I didn't see a Mother 3 character either, but there's so much going on that I'm sure it's easy to miss!
